Not a good day to be a Cubs fan...

I guess I must have sold my soul to the devil when I became a Cub fan around 1983. It's been an agonizing hell ever since. This one hurt just as much or more than the 2003 collapse because they were an even better team. It's really hard to watch your beloved team look so pathetic in the playoffs....it's sad, embarrassing and humiliating. The next time I want to be treated to a canatonic stupor, I'll be sure to watch a Cubs post-season game! I really feel sorry for Ron Santo. I wanted so much to see him flip his new wig over a Cubs World Series. I will always be a loyal Cub fan and I will show up next year. I just hope the team shows up. Where were they during the playoffs? Seriously, where the f*** were they! If you would have told me before the playoffs that the Cubs would pitch Dempster, Zambrano, Harden in games 1 through 3 and still get swept by the Dodgers. I would have bet you everything I have and the underwear off my nuts that you'd be wrong. The same goes for if you would have told me the Cubs would only score 6 runs in three games. How the hell this happened I'll never now?

Chicago Cubs...World Series Championship or bust?

Its been a magical year so far for the Chicago Cubs. They have the best record in baseball at 81-50! Ending the year with the best record would be great. Getting into the playoffs would be great too. Winning the pennant would be even greater. But lets be honest, anything less than a World Series Championship will be a disappointment.  At least that the way I feel. I've waited my whole life...they've never been this good...its been 100 years! It's a small window that a team has to be able to win a world series championship. A team can lose in the world series than not make it back for years or decades or even longer. The year is here and the time is now for the Cubs. Chicago hasn't even made the playoffs yet but things are looking very good and expectations are very high in the windy city.
